Wheeling Receives Chiodo, Mihaly From
Penguins, Sonnenberg From Utah

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that they have been assigned goaltender Andy Chiodo and left wing Arpad Mihaly by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League and that they have acquired left wing Eric Sonnenberg from the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for defenseman James Laux.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL and the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

The 22-year-old Chiodo was in training camp with Wheeling before being recalled to Pittsburgh, becoming the first player in team history to go directly from the ECHL to the NHL, and later was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

In parts of four seasons with the Nailers, the 25-year-old Mihaly has 75 points (27g-48a) and 92 penalty minutes in 159 games.
