Wheeling’s Sabourin Named
Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. – Dany Sabourin of the Wheeling Nailers is the Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month for November.

Under contract to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, the 24-year-old Sabourin won his last six starts of the month to finish 8-1-0 with three shutouts, a goals-against average of 1.17 and a save percentage of .959.

Sabourin, who was recalled to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday, led ECHL goaltenders during the month with eight wins and three shutouts while his goals-against average (1.17) and save percentage (.959) were the second lowest in the league.

Tied for the league lead with three shutouts and 10 wins, Sabourin is 10-2-0 and leads the league in shootout wins with three while ranking second in goals-against average (1.28) and save percentage (.956).
