Wight Returns To Steelheads From Iowa

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that defenseman Travis Wight has been returned to the team from the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League, and that they have traded rookie forward Liam Huculak to the Columbia Inferno in exchange for considerations.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of Iowa of the AHL and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Wight has two assists in nine games with Idaho after he had 19 points (2g-17a) and 41 penalty minutes in 70 regular season games and four points (2g-2a) and six penalty minutes in 22 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs as a rookie in 2006-07 while helping Idaho win the ECHL championship.
