Wildcatters Sign Carney

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Texas Wildcatters announced that they have signed veteran left wing Dan Carney.

The 33-year-old began his professional career in the ECHL with Nashville in 1994-95 and has played parts of 10 seasons in the league, registering 157 points (54g-103a) and 321 penalty minutes in 477 career regular season games and nine points (3g-6a) and 22 penalty minutes in 51 playoff games.

Carney helped Hampton Roads capture the Kelly Cup Championship in 1997-98, scoring 14 points (2g-12a) in 62 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) in 19 Kelly Cup Playoff games.

The 5-10 and 180-pound Carney played for Wildcatters head coach Tony MacAulay in 2003-04 with Roanoke of the ECHL and had career highs with 14 goals, 27 assists and 41 points in 70 regular season games while helping the Express reach the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
