Wilkes-Barre Returns Rank To Nailers
Penguins Reassign D’Aversa To Wheeling

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie All-Star defenseman Jon D’Aversa from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League to Wheeling.

It was also announced that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has reassigned rookie forward Kyle Rank to the Nailers and that rookie goaltender Curtis Darling has been signed by the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of Pittsburgh and the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL.

D’Aversa, who is under NHL contract to the Penguins, has 10 assists and 10 penalty minutes in 20 games with Wheeling and six points (4g-2a) and six penalty minutes in 27 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
