Wranglers agree to terms with Tassone


Las Vegas – The
Las Vegas Wranglers announced that center Matt Tassone has agreed to terms with the team for the 2013-14 season.

Tassone, 23, made his ECHL debut in 2010-11 with the Idaho Steelheads, recording seven goals and three assists. In 2011-12, the 6-foot, 201-pound center tallied five goals and eight assists with the Ontario Reign, and then opened 2012-13 with the Central Hockey League’s Wichita Thunder and Arizona Sundogs. With a combined six goals and two assists in 14 CHL games, Tassone was loaned to the American Hockey League’s Lake Erie Monsters, recording one goal and 26 penalty minutes in 13 games. The St. Albert, Alberta native finished the year with the Elmira Jackals, picking up six points (4g-2a) in nine games.

Prior to turning pro, Tassone spent four years (2006-10) with the Western Hockey League’s Swift Current Broncos recording 119 points (73g-46a) in 187 games.
