LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced that they have exercised their option to retain the Orleans Arena as their host venue through the 2010-11 season.
The extension follows the initial five-year term which began with the team’s inception in 2003.
“We have a lot of emotional capital in this town,” said owner Charles Davenport, IV. “Our fan base is loyal and we feel their support in every aspect of our business.”
Davenport said an amendment to the original contract addressed some of the team’s concerns, but didn’t comment further.
“We have moved a step closer to long-term viability and we’re looking forward to getting back to the hard work of putting forth a great product,” said Davenport.
The Wranglers are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League and the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League.
