Wranglers Sign Schwabe, Re-Sign Peluso

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Wranglers announced that they have signed center Evan Schwabe and that they have re-signed left wing Marco Peluso.

Schwabe played four seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and finished among the top two scorers on the team as a junior and senior while ranking as one of the top collegiate scorers, posting 102 points (38g-64a) in his final 83 games. Named Second Team All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association each of his last two seasons, the 5-9 and 165-pound Schwabe led the team as a junior with a career-high 45 points on career bests of 19 goals and 26 assists.

The 24-year-old Peluso signed with Las Vegas in March after completing his season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and had nine points (2g-7a) and 11 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Wranglers. Peluso tied for the UMD team lead with 19 goals and ranked third in scoring with 38 points in 35 games in 2004-05 and in three seasons scored 88 points (37g-51a) in 114 games.
