(Ticker) — Andrei Vasilyev recorded a hat trick and Dan Ellis made 30 saves as the Idaho Steelheads downedthe Florida Everblades, 5-1, in Game One of the Kelly CupFinals in front of a standing-room only crowd of 7,374 at TECO Arena on Friday. Vasilyev, who had just three goals in 13 playoff games,staked Idaho to a 1-0 lead early in the first period, scored5:54 into the second and added a tally late in the third. Ellisstopped all 18 shots he faced over the final two periods topreserve the win. Dan Vandermeer and Zenon Konopka both scored agoal and Brett Draney handed out a pair of assists for theSteelheads, who won despite being outshot, 31-23. Paul Vincentregistered the lone goal for Florida, which hosts Game Two onSaturday. Rob Zepp allowed five goals on 23 shots to take theloss.
