ANCHORAGE – The Alaska Aces announced that they have agreed to terms with center Vladimir Novak and that they have hired Mike Lefczik as their equipment manager.
The Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League and the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.
The 27-year-old Novak suffered a tibial plateau fracture at Long Beach on Mar. 17 and hopes to return in early December. Despite the injury, the 6-foot-1 and 193-pound forward had career highs with 18 goals, 20 assists and 38 points in 63 games while finishing third in the ECHL with a plus-minus rating of +30 and tied for third with six shorthand goals.
