Aces Receive Underhill From Mississippi

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Aces announced that they have received goaltender Matt Underhill from the Mississippi Sea Wolves in exchange for goaltender Lance Mayes and future considerations.

  Underhill is 13-8-3 with a goals against of 2.65 and a save percentage of .923 in 24 starts with Mississippi. He has also been called up to the American Hockey League twice, stopping all 17 shots faced in a game for St. John’s and going 1-2-1 with one shutout, a 2.95 goals-against average and .885 save percentage in five games with Providence.

  Underhill is the only goaltender to shut out Alaska at home in 2004-05, making 30 saves in the Sea Wolves 3-0 win at Sullivan Arena on December 18.
