Aces’ Talbot Named In Glas Co ECHL

PRINCETON, N.J. – Alaska forward Joe Talbot is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for January 17-23.

The 24-year-old Talbot scored six points (4g-2a) and had a plus-minus rating of +8 in three games against Victoria as the Aces won three games in a row at Victoria. The 5-10 and 170-pound Talbot scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-1 win on January 21 and had a goal and an assist in the Aces’ 3-0 win on January 22. Talbot extended his goal, assist and point streak to three games with a goal and an assist in Alaska’s 5-2 win on January 23.

The Wahnapitae, Ontario native is fifth on the team in scoring with 31 points (14g-17a) in 39 games. He has scored a point in eight of the Aces’ 10 games against Victoria, registering five goals and 12 points.

In his first full professional season in 2003-04, Talbot was named to the ECHL All-Star Game and finished the season with a career-high 24 goals, 32 assists and 56 points in 59 regular season games and scored four goals and six points in seven Kelly Cup Playoff games.
