Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans announced that they have loaned forward Greger Hanson to the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. In another transaction, the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks reassigned forward Rylan Schwartz to the Americans from Worcester.
The Americans are the ECHL affiliate of San Jose and Worcester.
Hanson is 10th in the ECHL in scoring this season with 25 points (12g-13a) in 22 games for Allen. The native of Lidingo, Sweden, is in his second season with the Americans and he leads the ECHL with three shorthanded goals and is second overall in the league in plus/minus at +20. Hanson returned to Allen last weekend after playing one game with the Oklahoma City Barons last Friday night. That was his first ever American Hockey League game. In 145 professional games, Hanson has 128 points (56g-72a).
Schwartz comes to Allen having played in 99 games in the American Hockey League with Worcester. Schwartz had five points in 19 games this season with Worcester. The native of Wilcox, Saskatchewan played three years at Colorado College from 2009-13.
