ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (Ticker) — Stefan Rivard scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period to lift theAtlantic City Boardwalk Bullies over the Cincinnati Cyclones,3-2, and win the best-of-seven Northern Conference Finals, fourgames to three. Rivard, who assisted on a goal by J.F. Caudronin the first, scored his third goal of the series to sendAtlantic City to the Kelly Cup Finals where it will face theColumbia Inferno. Scott Matzka scored with 8:48 remaining in thefirst to give the Boardwalk Bullies a 2-1 lead. Scott Stirlingstopped 22 shots for Atlantic City, which improved to 7-0 in theplayoffs when leading after one period. Steve Rodberg and BrentTwordik each netted power-play goals for Cincinnati, which hadwon three consecutive games to force a game seven. Peter Hamerlik,who was a perfect 3-0 in the playoffs, recorded 26 savesin the loss.
