READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that rookie defenseman Chris Barr and center Jon Francisco have been loaned to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and that All-Star starting goaltender Cody Rudkowsky has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.
The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the Monarchs of the AHL and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.
In his first full professional season, the 23-year-old Barr has six points (1g-5a) in 28 games. He ranks second on the Royals and is tied for fifth among ECHL defensemen in plus-minus rating (+14) and was named the HOK Sport ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for November.
In his third professional season, Francisco has 21 points (8g-13a) in 25 games.
Voted as the starting goaltender for the American Conference in the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Bud Light and the RBC Financial Group Saver of the Month for November, Rudkowsky is 12-2-1 with a goals against of 2.45 and a save percentage of .918 in 15 games for Reading.
