Barron, Harris return to Evansville

Evansville, Ind. – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dwight Mullins announced that the Evansville IceMen have signed defensemen Loren Barron and Donnie Harris for the 2014-15 season.

Barron, 25, is back in an IceMen uniform after playing 65 games in Evansville last season where he scored 18 points (3g-15a) and added 27 penalty minutes as a rookie. The Glendora, Calif. native played junior hockey for one season with the USHL Indiana Ice and four years of college hockey at Quinnipiac University (ECAC) before joining the IceMen.

Harris also is back as a part of Evansville’s defensive group after playing 50 games for the IceMen last year and 34 games during the 2012-13 season. Harris has scored 12 points (3g-9a) and added 34 penalty minutes in 84 games with the IceMen. A native of Fort Ashby, W. Va., Harris has also spent parts of three seasons with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL (2011-14) and turned pro with the Elmira Jackals in 2011 where he appeared in two games.
