Beck returns for second season with Steelheads

Boise, Idaho – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced that the Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Colton Beck.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League and the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

The second-year pro finished last season with 49 points (18g-31a) in 65 games as a rookie, but averaged a point-per-game after the ECHL All-Star Game, putting up 28 points in 28 contests, earning him the team’s annual “Unsung Hero” award at the end of the regular season. His strong play continued in the postseason where he had four goals in six games for the Steelheads. The 25-year-old finished the season with five game-winning goals, tied for second-most among all ECHL rookies.

Prior to turning pro, the Langley, British Columbia native produced 101 points (42g-59a) in 146 career games at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
