DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that they have signed forward Mike Berry (pictured) and rookie forward Matt Isbister, who helped the team capture the American Conference championship in 2006-07.
The Bombers are the ECHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League and the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
The 24-year-old Berry had 28 points (13g-15a) and 64 penalty minutes in 52 regular season games and three points (1g-2a) and six penalty minutes in seven Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Bombers in 2006-07. Dayton acquired him on Dec. 14, 2006 in exchange for future considerations from Toledo where he had nine points (6g-3a) and 16 penalty minutes in 20 games.
The 21-year-old Isbister had one goal in three regular season games for the Bombers, who signed him after he completed his Western Hockey League season where he had 30 points (14g-16a) and 50 penalty minutes in 64 games for Moose Jaw and three points (2g-1a) and four penalty minutes in seven games for Calgary.
