Blue Jackets Assign Walton To Dayton
Frischmon, Redlihs Recalled To Syracuse

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie right wing Brent Walton from Syracuse of the American Hockey League to Dayton, and that Syracuse has recalled rookie center Trevor Frischmon and rookie defenseman Jekabs Redlihs.

The Bombers are the ECHL affiliate of Columbus of the NHL and Syracuse of the AHL.

Under NHL contract to Columbus, the 23-year-old Walton played six games with Syracuse after being recalled on Nov. 8 from Dayton where he began the season and had two goals and six penalty minutes in four games.

Selected in the fourth round (119th overall) by Columbus in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under AHL contract to Syracuse, the 24-year-old Redlihs has one assist and four penalty minutes in seven games with the Bombers.

Under contract to Syracuse, the 25-year-old Frischmon has five points (2g-3a) in 11 games with Dayton.
