DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that they have signed center A.J. MacLean.
The Bombers are the ECHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League and the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
In his first professional season in 2004-05, the 22-year-old had 26 points (12g-14a) and 74 penalty minutes in 69 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and eight penalty minutes in seven playoff games with Quad City of the United Hockey League.
The 6-foot and 170-pound MacLean played three seasons with Halifax in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 47 points (21g-26a) and 154 penalty minutes in 199 regular season games and 17 points (8g-9a) and 28 penalty minutes in 44 playoff games.
