DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that they have signed rookie center Geoff Platt.
The 20-year-old Platt signed with Atlantic City after completing his junior career in 2004-05, registering two assists in two regular season games while also playing in all three of Atlantic City’s Kelly Cup Playoff games.
Platt finished second in the Ontario Hockey League with 45 goals while ranking 12th with 79 points in 68 games. He scored a goal and had two assists for the Western Conference in the 2005 OHL All-Star Game.
The 5-9 and 171-pound Platt played four seasons in the OHL with Erie, Saginaw and North Bay, scoring 192 points (106g-86a) in 248 regular season games and 10 points (9g-1a) in 14 playoff games.
