TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that rookie left wing Brad Bonello has been reassigned from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League and that rookie right wing Adam Keefe has been recalled to Manitoba of the AHL.The Storm is the ECHL affiliate of the Storm and the Cleveland Barons of the AHL and the Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.
Signed by Grand Rapids in training camp, the 21-year-old Bonello has 12 points (6g-6a) in 13 games for Toledo and one assist and 12 penalty minutes in eight games with Grand Rapids, which called him up on Dec. 3. He had his first professional hat trick and an assist in Toledo’s 7-3 win against Wheeling on Dec. 2 to extend his scoring streak to seven games (6g-5a) and has 12 points (6g-6a) and 49 penalty minutes in 13 games.
It is the first call up for the 21-year-old Keefe, who is in his first professional season and under contract to Manitoba. He has 21 points (11g-10a) and 174 penalty minutes in 28 games for Toledo.
