LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Wranglers announced that Omaha of the American Hockey League has reassigned center Chris Neiszner to Las Vegas and that the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights have also returned defenseman Ryan Bonni to the Wranglers.
Bonni and Neiszner are both expected to be available when the Wranglers play at Phoenix on Thursday.
Las Vegas is the ECHL affiliate of the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the AHL and the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League.
Selected in the second round (34th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-4 and 220-pound Bonni has 27 points (2g-25a) and 54 penalty minutes in 31 games with Las Vegas and 19 penalty minutes in 16 games with Omaha.
In his second professional season and under AHL contract to Omaha, the 23-year-old Neiszner has played two games with Omaha and has a career-high 15 goals and 27 points and 39 penalty minutes in 46 games with Las Vegas.
