Bowling Green product joins Stingrays

North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays have agreed to terms with defenseman Marcus Perrier, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced.

The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Providence Bruins and Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Perrier, 23, joins the Stingrays after skating three seasons with Bowling Green State University totaling 25 points (5g-20a) in 117 games.

Before joining the college ranks, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native dressed three seasons of junior hockey with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League adding 33 points (13g-20a) in 160 games and served as team captain during the 2010-11 season.
