Byrne Recalled From Peoria To Worcester

PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Rivermen announced that defenseman Trevor Byrne has been recalled to Worcester of the American Hockey League. Peoria is the ECHL affiliate of Worcester of the AHL and St. Louis of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) by St. Louis in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Blues, the 24-year-old Byrne had four points (4g-4a) and a plus-minus rating of +13 in 10 games with Peoria. In 25 games with Worcester in 2004-05, the 6-3 and 218-pound Byrne has seven points (1g-6a).

In his rookie season in 2003-04, Byrne had 20 points (7g-13a) in 63 regular season games and four points (2g-2a) in nine playoff games with Worcester while also playing in six games with Peoria.
