PRINCETON, N.J. – Las Vegas center Chris Ferraro, Reading defenseman P.J. Atherton and South Carolina rookie forward Travis Morin are the PaySource USA ECHL Plus Performers of the Month for October after finishing with a plus-minus rating of +7.
Selected in the fourth round (85th overall) by the New York Rangers in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, the 5-foot-9 and 175-pound Ferraro was even or better in all five of Las Vegas’ games in October, including a season-best +4 on Oct. 21, and tied for the team lead with six points (2g-4a).
Selected in the sixth round (170th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League, the 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Atherton was even or better in all seven of Reading’s games in October, including a season-best +4 on Oct. 20.
Selected in the ninth round (263rd overall) by Washington in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Capitals, the 6-foot-2 and 195-pound Morin was even or better in all eight games he played for the Stingrays in October, including +4 on Oct. 31, and led the team with six goals.
