CALGARY, Alberta – The Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League announced that they have signed former Las Vegas Wranglers goaltender Brent Krahn and former Idaho Steelheads center Warren Peters.
Selected in the first round (9th overall) by Calgary in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Krahn was 7-5-2 with a goals-against average of 2.61 and a save percentage of .925 in 14 games with Las Vegas as a rookie in 2003-04.
The 24-year-old Peters had 13 points (6g-7a) and 33 penalty minutes in 21 games for Idaho as a rookie in 2003-04. He had career highs with 23 goals, 23 assists and 46 points while accumulating 131 penalty minutes in 69 regular season games and one assist and 12 penalty minutes in four Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Steelheads in 2004-05.
Las Vegas is the ECHL affiliate of Calgary of the NHL and Quad City of the American Hockey League.
