Cameron, Fulton return to Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif.The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, and head coach Matt Thomasannounced today that the team has re-signed right winger Bretton Cameron and left winger Jordan Fulton.

 

Cameron, 22, returns from last year’s team that tied a Thunder record with 86 points and won 37 games, coming one win shy of another club mark. His 16 goals ranked second among Thunder rookies. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound forward scored 31 points (16g-15a) in 53 ECHL games and added 92 penalty minutes. He racked up eight multi-point games during the season and earned the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week award on Jan. 18. He set an individual season high with four points (1g-3a) against the Bakersfield Condors on Jan. 12.

 

Fulton, 23, named recipient of the 2010-11 Thunder “Rookie of the Year” award, led the club’s first year players with 18 goals. He returns from last year’s team that tied a Thunder record with 86 points and won 37 games, coming one win shy of tying another club mark. His 41 points (18g-23a) in 70 games ranked third in Thunder scoring. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward was acquired by the Thunder on Dec. 28 from the Kalamazoo Wings in exchange for left winger Aaron Clarke and followed with a 13-goal, 26-point output in 43 games.
