Cameron heads back to Greenville

Greenville, S.C. – The
Greenville Road Warriors announced today that the team has re-signed forward Bretton Cameron for the 2013-14 season.

The Road Warriors are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s New York Rangers and the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolf Pack.

Cameron, 24, is returning to Greenville for his third season with the team. In 2012-13, Cameron tallied 12 goals and 13 assists in 45 games for the Road Warriors. Cameron was named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 20 and received his first career AHL call up with the Texas Stars. In 21 games with the Stars, Cameron scored a goal and added four assists.

Cameron first joined the Road Warriors in January 2012 in a mid-season trade with the Stockton Thunder. In 73 total games in a Road Warriors jersey, Cameron has tallied 48 points (18g-30a) and 120 penalty minutes.
