Case re-joins Steelheads

Boise, Idaho – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced that defenseman Matt Case has agreed to terms with the Idaho Steelheads.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars and the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars.

The 28-year-old Case had 19 points (7g-12a) in 45 games for Lillehammer, Norway, last season. Prior to that, Case played three seasons in Idaho, including his career-best year in 2012-13 that saw him win the ECHL’s Plus Performer of the Year for having the league’s highest plus-minus rating at +32 and being named to the All-ECHL First Team. He was also runner-up for the ECHL’s Defenseman for the Year award after posting a career-best 39 points (6g-33a) in 62 games. Between the regular season and the playoffs, Case has skated in 174 games for the Steelheads.
