Cayer, Royals agree to terms

Reading, Pa. – The
Reading Royals, ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the organization has agreed to terms with forward Julien Cayer.

Cayer, who hails from Longueuil, Quebec, played 55 games for the Royals last season – 49 during the regular season and six of the 22 it took for Reading to capture the Kelly Cup. Cayer recorded nine points (3g-6a) and 45 penalty minutes and was a +10 during the regular season.

A fifth round selection of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Cayer registered 33 points (14g-19a) and 100 penalty minutes in 104 total collegiate games over four seasons at Clarkson University prior to turning pro.
