CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that they have agreed to terms with former All-Star forward Maxime Boisclair.
The Checkers are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League and the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
In his second professional season, the 23 year old played in one game with Syracuse and one game with Hershey in the American Hockey League while also playing in the North American Hockey League where he had 82 points (29g-53a) in 47 games for Saint-Hyacinthe. Boisclair finished the season with the Elmira Jackals where he had 14 points (4g-10a) and 21 penalty minutes in 14 regular season games and two goals and eight penalty minutes in six Kelly Cup Playoff games.
The Port-Au-Prince, Hait native was named to the 2007 ECHL All-Star game in Boise, Idaho where he recorded two assists for the American Conference.
