CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that they have agreed to terms with All-Star defenseman Ryan Glenn, who will attend training camp with the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
The Checkers are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the NHL and the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.
In his first professional season in 2004-05, the 6-foot-2 and 209-pound Glenn had 28 points (9g-19a) and 50 penalty minutes in 61 regular season games and was selected to the ECHL All-Star Game. He helped the Checkers reach the American Conference Finals appearing in all 15 games and scoring 14 points (3g-11a).
Selected in the fifth round (145th overall) by Montreal in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old also played in the AHL with Hartford, registering 14 penalty minutes in 11 games.
