Chiefs Collect 552 Boxes
For Brent’s Band-Aids

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that they collected 552 boxes of cartoon band-aids for Brent’s Band-Aids at their game on Dec. 18.

Founded by seven-year-old Brent Swaltek, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in July, Brent’s Band-Aids collects cartoon-themed Band-Aids to donate to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Swaltek dropped the ceremonial first puck with his favorite player, goaltender Kris Mayotte. taking the draw for the Chiefs. Mayotte presented Swaltek with his game-worn jersey from the 2009 ECHL All-Star Game in which he was the starting goaltender for the American Conference.

The Chiefs will serve as a donation location for Brent’s Band-Aids for the remainder of the season.

Cartoon band-aids can be donated at Chiefs games or can be mailed to the Chiefs office at 326 Napoleon Street, Johnstown, PA 15901
