Chiefs Receive Rosehill From Springfield

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that defenseman Jay Rosehill has been assigned from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

Johnstown is the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the seventh round (227th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 21-year-old has two penalty minutes in two games with the Falcons.

In his first professional season in 2005-06, the 6-foot-3 and 215-pound Rosehill had 13 penalty minutes in five regular season games and four penalty minutes in five Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Chiefs while also playing in Springfield where he had two points (1g-1a) and 68 penalty minutes in 45 games.
