Chiefs, Veteran Kalmikov Agree To Terms

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that they have agreed to terms with veteran left wing Konstantin Kalmikov.

The Chiefs are the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League and the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the third round (68th overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, the 29 year old played in Italy in 2006-07 and had 14 points (8g-6a) and eight penalty minutes in 25 games for Ritten Renon.

He played in the ECHL from 2001-04 and had 98 points (44g-54a) and 16 penalty minutes in 135 regular season games and 15 points (9g-6a) in 14 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for Louisiana. He led the ECHL with a plus-minus rating of +43 in 2001-02.
