Cichocki Named Coach Of Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Hockey Franchise Group, Inc. on Wednesday announced that the head coach of Stockton Professional Hockey will be Chris Cichocki, who was an assistant coach with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League from February until the end of the season.

“From coast to coast through the sport of hockey, Chris Cichocki is regarded as one of the finest coaching prospects around,” said Stockton owner Michael Reinsdorf. “He promises to put a competitive and exciting team on the ice, a team that Stockton hockey fans will be proud to support in the years to come.”

The 41-year-old Cichocki coached three seasons with Arkansas and one season with Cincinnati in the ECHL, compiling a 127-122-39 regular season record and twice reaching the Kelly Cup Playoffs. He was an assistant coach with Cincinnati of the International Hockey League for three seasons, helping guide the team to three consecutive 40-win seasons and a berth in the conference finals in 2000.
