Cyclones Extend Tryout Offers To Five Players

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that they have signed center Matt Rogers (pictured) and that they have extended tryout agreements to rookie forwards Steve Doherty and P.O. Mouton, rookie defenseman Sean Perkins and rookie goaltenders Lee Lansdowne and John Smith.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League and the Calder Cup champion Hamilton Bulldogs and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Rogers had six points (4g-2a) and 12 penalty minutes in 27 regular season games and appeared in two Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Cyclones in 2006-07. He also played in the Central Hockey League in 2006-07 and had two goals and four penalty minutes in six games for Rio Grande Valley and in the United Hockey League where he had two points (1g-1a) in 10 games for Chicago.
