INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, signed fifth-year pro forward Dylan Clarke and rookie defenseman Patrick Koudys to contracts for the 2015-16 season.
In 69 games for the Rapid City Rush last season, Clarke tallied 45 points (16g-29a) and 104 penalty minutes and served as one of Rapid City’s alternate captains. A native of Belleville, Ontario, Clarke has 114 points (48g-66a) and 186 penalty minutes to his credit in 174 career ECHL games with Rapid City, Evansville and South Carolina. In his first professional campaign, Clarke registered 64 points (29g-35a) and 49 penalty minutes in 66 games with the Tulsa Oilers in the Central Hockey League during the 2010-11 season. Prior to his professional career, Clarke spent four seasons at SUNY-Plattsburgh, serving as team captain during his senior season. In 114 career games played for the Cardinals, Clarke posted 139 points (67g-72a) along with 54 penalty minutes.
Koudys notched eight points (1g-7a) and 35 penalty minutes in 36 games last season as a senior at Penn State. A fifth round selection (147th overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Koudys collected 16 points (3g-13a) and 61 penalty minutes in two seasons with the Nittany Lions following one season of USHL play for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in 2012-13 in which he posted 15 points (1g-14a) and 95 penalty minutes. In two NCAA seasons at RPI from 2010-11 to 2011-12, Koudys netted five points (2g-3a) and 36 penalty minutes in 58 games.
