College teammates reunite in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, announced that the team has agreed to terms with rookie forwards Adam Reid and Torin Snydeman for the 2015-16 season. The two were teammates at Northeastern University over the past two seasons.

Reid, 22, put up nine points (4g-5a) and 22 penalty minutes in 34 games during the 2014-15 season, while serving as co-captain. In 138 career games with Northeastern, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound forward recorded 41 points (22g-19a) and 77 penalty minutes.

Snydeman, 25, tallied 16 points (7g-9a) and added 32 penalty minutes in 34 games for the Huskies last season. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound forward suited up for Northeastern in the 2013-14 season after transferring from Sacred Heart University during the 2012-13 campaign. In 137 career NCAA games, the native of Groton, Mass. produced 47 points (19g-28a) and 47 penalty minutes.
