Condors ink pair of returnees

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced that the club has agreed to terms with left wing Chase Schaber and defenseman Nick Pageau for the 2014-15 season.

Schaber tied for third on the Condors last season with 44 points (18g-26a) in 64 games. He tied a club record for goals in a game scoring four times in a 6-5 win at Las Vegas on April 1. The 23-year-old notched 10 points (4g-6a) in 16 postseason games last year, and over the last two seasons has tallied 20 points (10g-10a) in 27 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with Bakersfield and Idaho.

Pageau appeared in 23 games with the Condors last season before suffering a season-ending injury on Jan. 10 at Ontario. A native of Stoney Creek, Ontario, he posted seven points (1g-6a) and notched his first career goal on Dec. 18 at Idaho.
