WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League announced they have signed former Wheeling forward Kenny Corupe. The Wheeling Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
The 25-year-old native of Hamilton, Ontario played 34 gameswith Wheeling in 2004-05 scoring 24 points (8g-16a) and recording 24 penalty minutes. He has also spent time with Birmingham, Johnstown and Louisiana scoring a career total of 140 points (54g-86a) in 192 games.
The 6-1 and 195-pound Corupe played in 24 regular season games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2004-05, registering 2 assists and appearing in eight postseason games, recording two penalty minutes.
