In the lone ECHL game tonight, the Bakersfield Condors look to improve their team record winning streak, while getting one step closer to capturing their second consecutive Pacific Division championship.
The Condors have won 11 straight games, and with a win tonight, will become just the 15th team in the 23-year history of the ECHL to win at least 12 consecutive games. Bakersfield’s winning streak began on March 4, and the Condors have outscored their opposition 36-17 during the streak.
Goaltender Brian Stewart has been in goal for the last 10 games of the streak, and his personal 10-game winning streak is a team record. Stewart, who recorded his first professional shutout in the Condors 2-0 win over Las Vegas on Saturday, has allowed two goals or less in eight of the 10 games during his winning streak.
Bakersfield has a magic number of five points to clinch the Pacific Division title. With a win tonight, the Condors will have a chance to clinch the division tomorrow when they visit Ontario and Stockton hosts Las Vegas.
