The Toledo Walleye look to keep their playoff hopes alive tonight as they visit Wheeling. Toledo enters the final three days of the 2010-11regular season with 70 points, and trail Elmira by four points for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Walleye need to gain at least one point in tonight’s game to stay alive the playoff chase.
Toledo has won three of its last four road games, and in two of the three wins, have scored seven goals. The Walleye and Nailers have split the first six games of the season series. Wheeling is coming off of a shootout loss in Reading last night, and currently sits in fifth place of the Eastern Conference with 77 points.
Cincinnati can clinch a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with a Toledo loss tonight. A Toledo regulation loss would eliminate the Walleye from playoff contention, and allow Elmira to clinch the final berth.
