Coyotes, Perrault Agree To Terms

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League announced that they have agreed to terms with center Joel Perrault, who played for the August Lynx in 2005-06.

The Phoenix RoadRunners are the ECHL affiliate of the Coyotes of the NHL and the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the fifth round (137th overall) by Anaheim in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-1 and 197-pound Perrault was assigned to Augusta in January 2006 while battling post-concussion syndrome and he had six points (4g-2a) and two penalty minutes in three games for the Lynx. He also played in the AHL in 2005-06 and had 24 points (12g-12a) and 20 penalty minutes in 25 games for Portland and seven points (1g-6a) and four penalty minutes in 12 games for San Antonio.

The 24 year old had three points (1g-2a) and 14 penalty minutes in 15 games for the Coyotes while also playing in 11 games for the St. Louis Blues in 2006-07. He also played in the AHL last season and had 14 points (10g-4a) and eight penalty minutes in 21 games for San Antonio and two assists and seven penalty minutes in two games for Peoria.
