Cyclones add rookie defenseman Misiak

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed defenseman Ryan Misiak for the 2015-16 season. Misiak comes to Cincinnati after a productive four-year collegiate career at Mercyhurst University.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals.

Hailing from Shelby Township, Mich., Misiak, who converted to defense just one game into his senior season last year, led all Laker defensemen in scoring with 24 points (8g-16a) on his way to earning All-Atlantic Hockey Association Second Team honors.

The 23-year-old skated the first three years of his college career as a forward, ranking in the top three on the team in scoring during both his sophomore and junior seasons. In 156 career games at Mercyhurst, Misiak accounted for 119 points (45g-74a). He made his pro debut at the end of last season, appearing in four games with the Reading Royals.
