Cyclones agree to terms with defenseman Reed

Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Chris Reed for the 2013-14 season.

Reed, a 25-year-old Solon, Ohio native, will return for his third season as a professional this fall. A year ago, he notched a career-high 18 points (1g-17a) in 59 games with the Cyclones. In addition, he finished fourth among all ECHL players (and second among defensemen) in the plus/minus category by posting a +26 rating. During the Kelly Cup Playoffs, the former Ohio State Buckeye contributed with five assists in 17 contests. Reed also spent some time in the American Hockey League during the 2012-13 campaign; he collectively logged eight games with the Springfield Falcons, Houston Aeros, and Lake Erie Monsters.
