Scoring a goal in Cincinnati’s 4-1 win at Dayton on Saturday, Joe Cardarelli extended his scoring streak to 12 games, the second-longest active scoring streak in the East Coast Hockey League. During the streak, Cardarelli has tallied 15 goals, including seven power-play goals, and has scored 24 points. He has five multiple-goal games and eight multiple-point games. He registered his second hat trick of the season and a season-high four points in Friday’s 13-2 win against Reading. Cardarelli is the fourth ECHL player to record two hat tricks in 2002-03 joining Columbia’s Rejean Stringer, Richmond’s David Brosseau, and Greensboro’s Jay Murphy. Cardarelli has scored 18 goals, including eight power-play goals, and 31 points in 18 games with Cincinnati.
