Cyclones Receive Pair Of Forwards From Rochester

CINCINNATI, Ohio –The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forwards Chris Clackson and Brady Calla have been assigned by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.


Clackson, a rookie winger from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, joins the Cyclones after starting his professional career in Rochester.  This season for Chuck Weber’s Americans, he has 4 points (2g-2a) in 16 games.  Prior to this year, Clackson played four collegiate seasons with the Western Michigan Broncos (CCHA), compiling 36 points (19g-17a) in 129 career-games.


Calla, a Florida Panthers third-round selection in 2006, is in the midst of his fourth season as a professional.  In 10 games with the Americans this year, he’s notched a goal and an assist.  The Cyclones will be Calla’s second-career ECHL stop, as he played 16 games last season with the Florida Everblades.
