Cyclones sign Kevin Lind

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones have announced the signing of defenseman Kevin Lind for the 2015-16 season.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

A sixth-round selection (177th overall) by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Lind spent 45 games with the Utah Grizzlies last season, ranking fourth on the team in defensemen scoring with 11 points (7g-4a). Lind also saw five games worth of action with the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals. He made his professional debut with the Admirals in 2014, suiting up in one game.

A 2014 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Lind accounted for 36 points (7g-29a) over four seasons, and helped lead the Fighting Irish to a Central Collegiate Hockey Association championship during his junior season in 2012-13.

Prior to his time in South Bend, the 23-year-old skated for the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League, where he netted 21 points (8g-13a) over two seasons.
